FAQ
Straight answers, before you call
What does it cost to talk to you?
Nothing. Calls, texts and a first meeting are free, and you're under no obligation after.
How is the fee paid?
Only out of a recovery. The fee is a percentage of what's recovered, written in the agreement. Case costs, like filing fees, medical records and expert reports, are separate from the fee. Maricela advances them and they're repaid from the recovery. If there's no recovery, you owe neither the fee nor the costs.
Can I really just text?
Yes. Text the office number with your name and a line about what happened. Don't send medical records or photos until we ask; we'll tell you how.
Do you speak Spanish?
Maricela and her case manager, Efrain, both do. You can have every call, letter and meeting in Spanish.
Who pays my medical bills while the case is open?
Your health insurance or your own auto coverage may pay first, and some providers wait for the settlement. We'll help you sort out which.
How long will my case take?
Most claims settle after your treatment ends, which can be months. A case that goes to court takes longer. You'll hear from us at each step.
How long do I have to bring a claim?
There are deadlines, and some are short, especially against a city, county or state. Call soon so we can tell you which applies to you.
Do I have to go to court?
Most cases settle without a trial. If yours is filed, Maricela will tell you well ahead of any date you need to be there.
