Car crashes

Hit by another driver? Start here

After a crash, the other driver's insurer calls fast and sounds friendly. Its job is to pay as little as it can. Maricela's job is the opposite.

She gets the crash report, the photos and your medical bills, talks to every insurer for you, and tells you plainly what the claim is worth before you decide anything.

Crashes she takes

From fender benders to the freeway

  • Rear-end crashes

Stopped at a light on SPID or Staples, and hit from behind. Neck and back injuries often show up days later.

  • Intersections and red lights

Left turns across traffic, run lights, blown stop signs. Witness names and camera footage matter early.

  • Uninsured and underinsured drivers

When the other driver has no policy, or too little, your own coverage may pay. She reads it with you.

  • Rideshare and delivery drivers

A driver working for an app can carry a company policy. Which one applies depends on the moment of the crash.

Questions

After a car crash

Should I give the other insurer a recorded statement?

Not before you talk to a lawyer. You can take the adjuster's name and claim number and say you'll call back.

My car is at a tow yard. What do I do?

Storage fees add up by the day. Call or text us and we'll help you get the car's photos taken and the property damage claim moving.

I felt fine at the scene. Is it too late to see a doctor?

No. Many crash injuries show up a day or two later. See a doctor now, and keep every bill and note.

How long do I have to file?

There are deadlines, and some are short, especially when a city or county vehicle was involved. Call soon so we can tell you which applies.

Tell her about the crash

Call or text a few lines: where, when and who was hurt. She'll call back and tell you what she'd do next.

Case costs, like filing fees, medical records and expert reports, are separate from the fee. Maricela advances them and they're repaid from the recovery. If there's no recovery, you owe neither the fee nor the costs.
